Glass Slipper Closet
Providing prom dresses to girls in need in Northeast and Central Arkansas, free of charge.
The Glass Slipper Closet is a non-profit organization that gives away free prom dresses and accessories to high school students in the Northeast and Central Arkansas area. We collect new and lightly used formal dresses and accessories from generous donations by business and people in the community. We provide girls in the area who cannot afford their own prom dress with these donations, all completely free of charge.
All we need is a name and a time for an appointment!
We distribute the dresses at the Glass Slipper Closet each prom season where each student receives individual assistance from a volunteer “personal shopper” as she shops for the dress of her dreams.
We are a volunteer-based organization that relies on donations of dresses, shoes, jewelry, and purses. The program began in 2005 under the direction of Compassion In Action, a non-profit arm of Life Strategies Counseling in Jonesboro, AR. We greatly appreciate all of our volunteers and sponsors. They make each year successful and rewarding for all!
Making an appointment with us is easy! If you are in the Northeast or Central Arkansas area and are in need of a dress, please call us at 870-972-5929 to set up a time at our Jonesboro location (2200 East Matthews Ave.) or our Hot Springs location (1820 Central Ave. Ste C). Appointments are one hour long and must be set at least 24 hours in advance.
Want To Donate?
We welcome donations at any time! If you would like to donate your dresses, shoes, or accessories, please stop by any of our Life Strategies Counseling offices. We ask that you please call ahead.
